This policy explains the cookies and storage technologies used in connection with the Letras del Camino website and application. Data controller: Vicente Soler, Spanish ID (DNI) 20465285T, with address at Calle Tosquella 65, 1º, Castelló de la Plana, Spain. Email: info@letrasdelcamino.com.
1. Cookies and other technologies
Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. Other storage technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB databases and caches. They do not all serve the same purpose: some enable access to an account, others remember preferences, and others store application content directly on your device.
Whether consent is required depends on the actual purpose and use of each technology, not simply on whether it is called a cookie or local storage.
2. Technical website functions
WordPress access and administration features may use session, authentication and security cookies. These functions are not required for visitors to read public articles. The language system may remember your selected preference when you use that feature.
The presence of WooCommerce as a catalogue management tool does not mean that every visitor uses a shopping cart or checkout session: purchases are completed on Etsy.
3. Koko Analytics statistics
Koko Analytics is configured with the “None” tracking method. With this configuration, it does not set the Koko cookie or use its mechanism to recognise returning visitors; it records page-view and referral counts. This configuration differs from both “Cookie” mode and the mode called “Cookieless”.
Koko statistical data is managed within the website infrastructure. Connections to the server may generate technical security logs even though Koko does not use cookies. The absence of Koko cookies does not mean that no technical connections or server logs exist.
4. Storage required by the application

These technologies enable the app features you request. The private text of your journals is not used as an advertising identifier or for commercial tracking.
5. Newsletter subscriptions and floating invitation
Subscription forms are integrated into the website and managed through our own WordPress plugin, “Letras del Camino — Suscripciones”, with separate mailing lists for each language. Subscription requests, confirmations, subscription status, newsletters and unsubscribes are managed within the website infrastructure, without external subscription forms.
The subscription form requires the information needed to process your request. Connections may generate technical server logs as described in this policy. Confirmations and unsubscribes are handled through the service’s emails and related mechanisms. The processing of email addresses and consent records is explained in our Privacy Policy.
A floating invitation offering a free journal may appear after a short period of browsing and link to the subscription page in the relevant language. To respect visitors’ choices, it uses localStorage in the browser, with the technical key ldcs_invite_state_v1, to remember the invitation’s status and, if it has been closed, the date until which it should remain hidden.

This information is stored on your device. The invitation’s status is not a tracking cookie, and the plugin does not send it to the server to create advertising profiles. The system cannot automatically recognise a subscriber accessing the website from a different browser or device. If you clear local storage, your preferences may be reset and the invitation may appear again.
The storage used when you minimise or close the invitation is intended exclusively to respect the interface preference you have expressly selected. This use must remain limited to that purpose in order to qualify, where applicable, for the exemption available for user-requested preferences. It does not constitute permission for commercial tracking.
Subscribing to the newsletter does not constitute consent to analytics cookies or individual tracking technologies. Our plugin does not currently include tracking pixels to measure email opens or individually track clicks on newsletter links. Any additional technology requiring consent must be disclosed and, where necessary, consent must be obtained before it is activated.
6. Etsy and Google
When you open Etsy to make a purchase or Google to authorise Drive access, you access external services. Their cookies, identifiers and sessions are governed by the policies provided by those services. Drive authorisation only enables the requested operations and does not constitute general consent to advertising by Letras del Camino.
The website does not currently incorporate a community area, public comments or embedded third-party videos. External links do not, by themselves, mean that external players or forms are integrated into every page.
7. Consent and preferences
Technologies strictly necessary to provide a feature you request may be exempt from prior consent under applicable law. Optional technologies that require consent must provide appropriate information and a valid choice before being used; continuing to browse does not constitute consent.
If optional tools requiring consent are introduced, a mechanism must be available to accept or reject them and to withdraw consent easily. This policy does not, by itself, authorise their installation.
8. How to manage stored data
You can view and manage website data through your browser’s privacy settings. Guidance is available from the official support pages for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.
Before deleting application storage, keep a valid encrypted backup if you want to preserve your journals. Deleting IndexedDB or website data may erase locally stored content; this is not the same as simply removing an advertising cookie. You do not need to delete your journal to unsubscribe from the newsletter or revoke Drive access.
9. Updates and enquiries
