During a difficult season in my life, I started writing in a journal with no particular goal in mind. I wasn’t trying to create literature or share it with anyone. I simply needed to empty out what I was carrying inside. Little by little, without even realizing it, I began to find in words a refuge, a compass, and a way to truly listen to myself.
The idea for Letras del Camino was born while I was walking the Camino de Santiago. I walked in silence, without headphones, with time to think and nowhere to rush. That’s when the thought came to me: what if I could create a space where other people could also write, reflect, and feel accompanied? A simple place, free of judgment, where what matters isn’t doing it “right,” but doing it honestly and from within.
Writing has helped me get to know myself better, understand my emotions, let go of what weighs on me, and express what is sometimes hard to say out loud. It has also helped me process what I read or watch, give shape to the ideas that linger inside me, and understand the world with a little more calm and clarity.
I’m not here to give advice or teach from any kind of pedestal. I simply share what has helped me. I hope this website can be just that: a space where you can write without fear, read others, and feel that you’re not alone. A place where you learn to listen to yourself as you write, and treat that time as a gift.
Sometimes I think writing is like sitting beside a campfire. You don’t have to talk all the time. It’s enough just to be there. To watch the flames. To let something inside you quietly fall into place.
I hope you find a bit of that warmth here.
